High-Pressure Dust Suppression System

Dust control for construction sites, quarries and material yards

High-pressure water mist for suppressing airborne dust at demolition sites, quarries, crusher plants, bulk material yards, waste transfer stations and tunnel works.

Water mist binds dust particles at the source and knocks them out of the air. Compared with hoses or sprinklers it uses far less water, does not create mud and can be triggered automatically by wind or dust sensors.

High-Pressure Dust Suppression System

Key points

  • Source control — Nozzle lances aimed at transfer points, crushers and stockpiles.
  • Water saving — Fine mist uses a fraction of the water of sprinkler systems.
  • Automatic triggering — Optional wind, dust or vibration-linked start.
  • Outdoor rated — Stainless nozzles and corrosion-resistant pipework for site conditions.

FAQ

High-Pressure Dust Suppression System — common questions

Written out in full so you can verify before you buy.

What pressure does a high-pressure misting system run at?

Typical working pressure is 70–100 bar for fine landscape fog (droplet size 1–15 μm) and 40–70 bar for outdoor mosquito control, where larger droplets are wanted so the repellent stays in the air longer.

How much area can one system cover?

One pump unit covers roughly 500–2,000 m² for cooling and landscape fog, and roughly 300–1,500 m² for mosquito control, depending on nozzle layout, pipe length and wind conditions. Send us a site plan and we will size it for you.

How much cooling can we expect?

Under dry, hot conditions a correctly sized system typically lowers the perceived temperature in the treated zone by about 5–10 °C (9–18 °F). We will confirm the expectation for your site before you order.

What water supply is required?

Municipal tap water is normally suitable. We recommend an inlet filter (and softener where water is hard) to protect nozzles. Flow requirement depends on nozzle count — we calculate it in the proposal.
